Truly Penang Restaurant
Tucked away in a row of business center in Penang Sg Dua neighborhood, Spices of Penang restaurant is recent food establishment that features all kind of Malaysian foods. From Malay to Peranakan, Thai and Japanese dishes, they are probably the restaurant to be if you're looking for half dozen of variety for fried rices, fried noodles and shaved ice/snow ice desserts.
Aside from the scrumptious list of Penang hawker foods, snow ice dessert is one of the star attractions. Offered with different fruits such as banana, dragon fruit, honeydew, strawberry, mango, kiwi and mixed fruits, each is prepared with shaved ice, syrup and jelly, perfect to cool off on a sizzling hot afternoon. We however opted for a traditional serving - Cendol (RM2.50). Good enough for us though not equivalent to the famous Cendol stall near KOMTAR in George Town.
