|Sepang Gold Coast & Golden Palm Tree Resort|
Sepang Gold CoastBored of urban life, why not hit the road and head to Sepang Gold Coast to launch a kite! For those that have never heard of Sepang Gold Coast, Bagan Lalang perhaps rings a bell. If this clue still doesn't, then picture what I am going to describe next. Synonyms to Sepang Gold Coast, Bagan Lalang is located off the main trunk road that connects Sungai Pelek and Banting. The town that is also the beach is less than 2 km from the mouth of Sungai Sepang, at which is also the border to Negeri Sembilan. Recent development of an eco-friendly resort - Golden Palm Tree on the land adjacent to it, makes this place a popular attraction amongst city folks.
From Klang Valley, one has a few options. We traveled south on KL-Putrajaya Expressway, exited at Cyberjaya. Continuing on trunk road, we then passed Dengkil, Kota Warisan, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi (near Sepang F1 Circuit), Kampung Kubor, Taman Murni and Sungai Pelek before turning into Bagan Lalang - Sepang Gold Coast (Coordinates: 2.605093,101.688012). Alternatively, you can choose to travel via KESAS Highway, continue on trunk road and pass Telok Panglima Garang, Banting, Morib, Tanjung Sepat before turning into the coastal road for Bagan Lalang. From KLIA, the distance is merely 30 km. This stretch of road is a lovely outback painted with laid back townships, dragon fruit and longan farms thus sight of tropical fruits stalls on the road side is pretty common.
Golden Palm Tree Resort Our initial hunt for Golden Palm Tree Resort gave us a surprise. We also found a strip of public beach - Sepang Gold Coast! It is hard to resist the whispering Casuarina tree and waving see breeze that greets you. Like a little gem for city folks, this beach is a great spot to fly kite, set up tents, picnic or just running on the beach though there is no crystal clear water neither an ocean blue sea. Idyllic is perhaps a superlative but beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder!
To escape from urbanization for a refreshing retreat, Golden Palm Tree Sea Villas & Spa Resort is ready to pamper you. Walking distance from Sepang Gold Coast, the sight of their sea villas can be spotted from afar. A member of RCI, it is the home to over 300 villas that stand elegantly on stilts, above playful waves, fan out like a palm tree leave reaching out to the sea. If you'd stayed in Sea Villas at Pangkor Laut Resort or Berjaya Resort in Langkawi, this resort offers a similar experience plus eco-friendly settings such as alang-alang roofing and a private patio/deck.
