To explore the top Tanjung Sepat attractions, you don't really need a map but good instinct certainly helps. As long you hit on the road with GPS pointing to Tanjung Sepat, it is unlikely you would get lost in this quaint town. To simplified the geography in your mind, this charming town sits in between Banting/Morib and Bagan Lalang/Sepang on the southwest of Selangor in the district of Kuala Langat. Tanjung Sepat Lover's Bridge
Tanjung Sepat Pau Bao, or pau is a Chinese steamed buns, pretty common snacks in Malaysia. Yet, Tanjung Sepat offers food hunters an atypical filling - preserved mustard greens or mei cai bao (mui choy pau) aside from peanut, vegetable, red bean (dou sa), mei cai (vegetables), kaya, and shen rou (BBQ pork). Homemade, these baos are grabbed as soon as they are out from steamers. Do not be surprised to see visitors from bus loads pack over a hundred in a few minutes though each is priced between RM1.40 to RM2.20!
Tanjung Sepat Mushroom & Lingzhi @ Ganofarm
It had never came across my mind that mushrooms can be cultivated. I was really naive to believe mushrooms only grow on dead logs and they were collected in wild. If you're looking for a complete process on how to cultivate mushrooms, Ganofarm is the place to be. From preparing substrate, bagging sawdust, sterilization, inoculation, incubation to watering and harvesting, these are the essential steps shared on the billboard at their lobby.
Mushrooms do not come in only black or white but all kind of shapes, sizes and colors. In addition to providing a homestay, Ganofarm also strives to educate public on edible mushrooms. Despite of the outback location, I was amazed how advanced and industrialized the folks here. There is an air-conditioned sales room for you to bring home some mushrooms - fresh or dried, aside from a wide range of mushroom related products, personal care stuff, organic noodles, tit-bits and beverages!
Kuan Wellness Eco Park
Set up with green in the mind and green on the ground, Kuan Wellness is an eco-sanctuary set up with decent facilities to publicize bird nest cultivation. Walled up by palm oil trees and tropical fruit farms, echoed by melodious music from insects and bugs, this is a lovely gem to enjoy refreshing nature. Beautifully landscaped, the visitor center is equipped with a lobby, theater, bird nest processing and research center, smokeless bird nest cafe, sales room, playground, Eco-garden, swiftlet gallery and restrooms. Located 8 km northwest of Tanjung Sepat town or 6 km southeast of Morib Gold Coast Resort on the coastal trunk road between Morib and Tanjung Sepat, spot for a windmill by the road side.
